Impossible Missions RPG

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

Two of the games I’ve played at DunDraCon this weekend were moderated by Michael Siverling and used the free Impossible Missions RPG. One adventure was set in our current time settings with references to 1960′s TV spy shows. The other set in a Flash Gordon-esque 1938 with Lunaterians invading Earth. Both were great games and the pacing was excellent with the streamlined rules mechanics. Follow the link above to see what you think of the clever little RPG. The players in both games seem to really like the wacky antics, and many of us keep coming back. and we make sure Michael gets a laugh or two during every session.

I particularly like Michael’s use of ‘photography’. Almost every encounter and setting has a photo that he prints out and reveals just as the players encounter it. He is brilliant at picking from historic images and screencaps from movies and TV shows. Really good GM tip and I recommend playing in one of his games if you get the chance.
